Disseminating Knowledge about
Social Work and Social Policy in Europe



 The Euromodule Web Site was initiated in 1997 by staff from a group of academic institutions in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Portugal and the UK.

 The first purpose of the project was the creation of sets of papers for students in the areas of Social Policy and Social Work. As indicated in the sections on 'Module Papers', several themes within the broad areas of Social Policy and Social Work were chosen. Since 1998, many papers have been specially written and others have been obtained from colleagues. In 2002, a new theme was added to the range: The Third Sector in relation to Social Policy and Social Work. Since the inception in 1997, new partners have joined from the original countries and also from an additional country, Estonia.

This Euromodule Project has been assisted by financial support from the Socrates/Erasmus programmes of the European Union but also resources have been made available by the various academic institutions involved.
